Donald Cameron Macrorie, until recently a resident of Payson, was called home to be with his Lord on April 2, 2003, in Tucson.
Don was born on March 13, 1940, in Rock Island, Illinois. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. But most importantly, Don treasured his relationship with God and with his wife, Nancy.
Other survivors include his sisters, Hazel French of Pueblo, Co. and Mary Anne Gant of Colorado Springs, Co.; and his brother, Richard Macrorie of Pueblo, Co. Don is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and three sisters. Don proudly served his country with the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a Military Policeman. He attended Arizona State and graduated from Southern Colorado State college with a degree in refrigeration. He then received further training from York Engineering School and was employed by York-Borg-Warner in Phoenix.
With his wife, Nancy, he owned and operated Service Master by Macrorie in Payson until November, 1999. Don served as Deacon and Trustee of First Baptist Church of Pine.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Pine, Highway 87, Pine, Arizona.
