MCNEIL, Daniel Duane (Mac)

Daniel Duane (Mac) McNeil, 81, of Sun City, AZ passed away on November 27, 2002. He was born on January 11, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. McNeil retired from the Army after 27 1/2 years of service (1940 to 1965) to his country. His son, Duane Lee McNeil, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Joan Z. McNeil, daughter, Cheri, son, Jack, daughter, Marla and son, Harold twelve grandchildren, and three great grandchildren also survive him. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He had an unwavering love for his great country, which he instilled in his family through his actions and words. He had the privilege of participating in the growth of this valley from the small community of his youth to the thriving metropolitan area of today. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. A graveside memorial will be held Friday, December 6, 2002, at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ. Published in the Arizona Republic 12/3/2002.
