Sukar Abraham, age 94, fell asleep in death with her family by her side on April 7, 2003. She was born in El Yazdiet, Safita, Syria, on March 10, 1909. She moved to Arizona in 1979 from Geneva, New York. Her joys in life included cooking and feeding others, and her home and heart were open to all.
She was a devoted, caring, and unselfish mother. Her love of the Scriptures and application of Bible principles were evident in all aspects of her life. Her kind, loving, and gentle manner will long be remembered and cherished by family and friends.
Her husband, James, and two of her sons, David and Benjamin, preceded her in death.
She is survived by sons: Alfred (Julia), Raymond (Sheila), and Isaac; daughters: Sophie King, Carol (Jack) Andrews, Agnes (Michael) Baroody, and Judith (David) Dickson; daughter-in-law, Joyce; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.
Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1535 East Mountain View Road, Phoenix, on Saturday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m.
