HANEY, Arthur Alvin (Al)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, April 10, 2003 "Al" Arthur Alvin Haney, 79, was born on January 12, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA, and died on April 8, 2003 in Phoenix. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the - submarine Flying Fish during WWII. Al was a graduate of USC, and insurance broker in Arizona for over 45 years, he also served on the board of Sun Angel Foundation, and was the chairman and founder of several Phoenix area banks. He is survived by his wife of 55 1/2 years, Lorna, son, Alan Deming (Bonnie), daughters, Donna Swan, Julie Rickard (Gary), and Marialice Haney. 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and sister-in-law, Wetona Jorgenson, also survive him.
