Philip C. Jackson, 79, of Globe died June 17 [2003] at Cobre Valley Community Hospital losing his battle with cancer. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., and had lived in Arizona 75 years.
He was a retired insurance adjuster and owned Jackson Claims Service in Yuma for 30 years. He was also an investigator for the law firm Westover, Choules and Shadle in Yuma and more recently for Thompson, Montgomery and DeRose in Globe.
He was a Perpetual Master Mason and was named the 1995 Mason of the Year by White Mountain Lodge No. 3 of Globe; a 45-year member of Rotary International and received the Rotary Red Rose Citation for Outstanding Service; past president and life member of Affiliated Adjusters of Western United States; life member of National Association of Insurance Adjusters, Arizona Insurance Claims Association, and Blue Goose International; and served on the Globe Library Board. He was a long-time Rotarian.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Jackson of Globe; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Christine Jackson of Troy, Mich., and Neal and Sara Jackson of Lakeside; one brother, Dan Jackson of Vista, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service was conducted June 20 at Lamont Mortuary Chapel.
