The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Thursday, April 10, 2003 Betty Mae (Pillard) Sutorka, 62, of Scottsdale, AZ joined our Father in heaven on April 7, 2003, after courageously battling cancer for 11 years. She was born January 17, 1941, in Lincoln, NE. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 43 years, John Sutorka; her four children: Shari (David Winsor) Sutorka of Prescott, AZ; Johnny (Edie) Sutorka of Chandler, AZ; Janet (Jeff) Fromm of Phoenix, AZ; and, Jim (Cindy) Sutorka of Diamond Springs, CA; her nine grandchildren; a step grandchild and great-grandchild; her mother, Ethel (Melvin) Benton, of Phoenix, AZ; and her brother Oliver Ray (MaryAnn) Pillard of Dunkirk, MD. Her father, Ray Pillard, preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Messinger Indian School Mortuary on Thursday, April 10th from 6-8 pm. Mass will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Scottsdale on Friday, April 11th at 1 pm. Burial will be at Phoenix Memorial Mortuary. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
