West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona January 15, 2010 Paul Cadena, 84, of Avondale died Jan. 11, 2010, in Peoria. Mr. Cadena was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Hale Center, Texas, to Andres and Bernabe. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was retired from owning and operating a long haul trucking company. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post No. 61 and St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Mr. Cadena is survived by his wife, Carolina; four daughters, Gloria, Mary Diana, Sylvia and Priscilla; three sons, Andrew, John and Victor; three sisters, Vivian Duran, Lupe Chavez and Anita Lipps; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated Jan. 13 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Goodyear. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
