Jean Bunn Darby, 85, of Litchfield Park died from complications of a stroke Jan. 10, 2010, at Hospice of the Valley.
Mrs. Darby was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Chicago to Benjamin Harrison and Jessie Alice Bunn. She attended Drake University where she met and married Richard Jess. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at Drake, and she served on the Litchfield Park Recreation, Arts and Parks Commission, Litchfield Park Cityscape Commission and Litchfield Park Friends of the Rec.
She is survived by three sons, David, Richard and William; one daughter, Carol; one brother, Richard Benjamin Bunn of Lakeland, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 400 S. Old Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park.
