West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona January 12, 2010 Herminia Garcia, 80, of Avondale died Jan. 6, 2010, at her home. Mrs. Garcia was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Tucson to Bacilio and Concepcion Esquivel. She was a member of the St. John Vianney Catholic Church Building Committee, one of its original choir members and sponsor of Sons of God. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Frank Villa; four daughters, Gloria Orozco, Gerrie Chacon, Aundrea Orozco and Trisha Valdez; two sons, Paco and Anthony; two sisters, Bea Canez and Patricia DeLeon; two brothers, Mickey Esquivel and Arthur Esquivel; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. today at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 539 E. La Pasada in Goodyear. Mass will be at 11. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale. She was born December 13, 1929 in Tucson, Arizona, to Bacilio and Concepcion Esquivel. Herminia was a huge sports fan and the first non-athlete to be inducted into the Agua Fria hall of fame as the most dedicated fan. She was a member of the building committee, an original choir member, and sponsor of Sons of God all for St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She met her husband of 59 years at Talawiwi Ranch. She is survived by her husband, Frank Villa Garcia; daughters, Gloria Orozco, Gerrie Chacon, Aundrea Orozco, Trisha Valdez; sons, Paco Garcia and Anthony Garcia; sisters, Bea Canez and Patricia DeLeon; brothers, Mickey Esquivel and Arthur Esquivel; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-granchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, David Garcia. Services will be held Tuesday January 12, 2010, Wake 9:00 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Avondale, AZ, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
