West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona January 12, 2010 Curtis Kennedy, 47, of Buckeye died from complications of pneumonia Dec. 31, 2009. Mr. Kennedy was born June 17, 1962, in Phoenix to Charles and Myrtle. He graduated from Buckeye Union High School in 1981. He attended the University of Utah where he played football. He was a welder at Lancy's Welding Shop. He is survived by three children, Candice, Tiffany and C.J., all of New Hampshire; his mother, Myrtle,; two sisters, Judy Wingo of South Carolina and Freda Turner; one brother, Eric; and one grandchild. Services were Jan. 7 at First Southern Baptist Church of Buckeye. The Rev. Artie Woodcox officiated. Interment was at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery in Buckeye. Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements.
