West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona January 8, 2010 Laura Joy Dunn, 67, of Elizabethton, Tenn., and formerly Avondale died from lung disease Dec. 30, 2009, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home in Elizabethton. Ms. Dunn was born Sept. 5, 1942, in Union City, N.J., to Thomas and Beatrice Holmes. She lived in Avondale from 1978 to 2000. She was former president and district president for American Legion Auxiliary Post 61 in Avondale. She is survived by two daughters, Beatrice Carobrese of Mesa and Tina Dunn-Hudson of Johnson City, Tenn.; one sister, Mary A. Queen of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Ronald Dunn and Allan Carobrese.
