West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona January 8, 2010 William Sherman Jr., 79, of Goodyear died Jan. 3, 2010, at his home. Mr. Sherman was born Oct. 14, 1930, in Pennsylvania. He retired from Loral Defense Systems/Goodyear Aerospace in 1992. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geraldine; one daughter, Linda Swesey of Phoenix; one son, Bill of Florida; one brother, Donald; one sister, Nancy Hawkins; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 11 at Estrella Mountain Church, 10485 S. Estrella Parkway in Goodyear. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
