Mary Mildred Folz, 90 of Phoenix, died peacefully on June 5, 2003. She was born to Charles & Mary Bramble in Lagootee, IN, on March 12, 1913.
Mildred moved to Phoenix with her husband and four children in 1942. They managed the Home-Like trailer park on North Central Ave., which was across the street from present-day Central High School. Mildred also worked at Mode-O-Day clothing store in downtown Phoenix. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Parish for 50 years.
Mildred was preceded in death by John Folz, her husband of 72 years, four of her five sisters and her brother. She is survived by her four children; Susan Driscoll and her husband Mike of Modesto, CA, Jerry Folz and his wife Phyllis of Tempe, David Folz and his wife Yvonne of Phoenix, Robert Folz and his wife Linda of Camp Verde, and her sister Helen Teacoach of Fairmont, WV; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th St., Phoenix, on June 9, 2003. Visitation at 9:00am. Rosary at 9:30am., and the Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Donations in her honor may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society or St. Agnes Catholic Church.
