Gerry Wynn Nikolaus, 61, of Show Low, Arizona, passed away December 8, 2002.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 13th at Owens Mortuary in Show Low, AZ and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 14th at the Show Low Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Gerry Wynn Nikolaus, 61, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.
He was born June 25, 1941 to LaMar and Elizabeth Nikolaus. Gerry lived his whole life in Show Low and attended Snowflake Union High School where he was active in sports, academics and student government, graduating with the Class of 1959. He then attended Eastern Arizona Junior College on a basketball scholarship. Gerry was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many positions and was very active in the scouting program. He was awarded the Silver Beaver in 1984. Gerry participated in church and city athletic programs for many years and was also an avid outdoorsman and hunter. For years he and his family owned and operated Nicks Market in Show Low. He also worked for Bashas' for 11 years and was currently employed with the Show Low School District.
Gerry is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Steve (Barbara) Nikolaus and Scott (Sherry) Nikolaus, both of Show Low; five daughters, Tammie (Karl) Henson of Flagstaff, Terry (Chris) Wade of Show Low, Cristi of Show Low, Kim (Tony) Kelley of Snowflake, and Jaime of Show Low; his mother, Elizabeth of Show Low; two sisters, Geraldine (Harry Lynn) Hall of Mesa and Lorraine (Ed) Dowdle of Show Low; three brothers, Gerald "Shorty" (Jolene) Nikolaus of Show Low, D.L. Nikolaus of Seattle, Washington and Del Ray (Nola) Nikolaus of Mesa and also 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, LaMar in 1992.
Gerry was a great man who will be missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Show Low Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a viewing one hour prior. A viewing will also be held from 6-8 Friday, Dec. 13 at the Owens Mortuary in Show Low. Burial will be in the Show Low Cemetery.
