Visitation will be Fri., April 11, 2003 from 5-7pm with Rosary to follow at 7pm at the Morris David's Safford Funeral Home. Mass will be Sat., April 12, 2003 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Solomon, AZ with interment to follow at the San Jose Cemetery. Rosary was recited at the Morris David's Safford Funeral Home Chapel on April 11, with Mass on April 12 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Solomon. Burial followed at the San Jose Cemetery. Raul was born in Brownsville, Texas, on Oct. 9, 1915, and resided there during his formative years. He attended school and also worked to help support his family. He came to Arizona with the Civil Conservation Corps and later met his future wife, Rosaura Molina. Raul retired from Phelps Dodge Corp. after 36 years of service. He enjoyed baseball and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters, Connie Garcia of Safford and Yolanda Martinez of Mesa; his son, Raul Herrera II of Tucson; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosaura; son, Sixto; and daughter, Enriquetta. Arrangements for services were under the direction of Melissa Morris of Morris David's Safford Funeral Home.
