Russell D. Robinson Sr., 74, of Glendale Arizona, died Tuesday, April 1st, 2003 at Thunderbird Samaritan Palliative Care Unit. The youngest of seven children, he was born August 30th, 1928 to Clarence E. and Katherine McDowell Robinson in Norwood Mass.
Russell was a veteran of the Korean War, where he received various citations. He maintained his membership in the Ancon Masonic Lodge of Balboa, Republic of Panama even after his discharge from the Army. He was the founder of Whynot Industries in the late 70's, which he owned and operated until his semi-retirement in the early 90's.
He is survived by his wife Hazel, children; Lucy M. May (OH), Russell D. Jr. (Phoenix AZ) and Ned R. Robinson (UT), and F. Jeremy Michaels (Glendale AZ); grandchildren; Dana Vaughn (USAF-NM), T.J. and Lisa May (OH), and R. Thomas Robinson (Glendale AZ); and siblings; Clarence (NH) and Donald Robinson (Gilbert AZ), and Pat McKellop (MA).
Memorial Services will be held at West Glendale Baptist Church at 67th Avenue and Maryland on Saturday, April 12th, 2003 at 10:00am.
