Patricia Ann Eldridge (nee Snyder) passed away suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 10 in Redondo Beach, Calif. She grew up in Wickenburg, Ariz. She graduated from Wickenburg High School.
Patti was a former Gold Rush Days Queen and loved watching and cheering the parade. She attended Arizona State University and got her Master’s of Education there. She taught in the Madison School District in Phoenix for more than 20 years. Patti enjoyed watching the Desert Caballeros ride and attending the DC party. She was proud of her father (Dan Snyder) and brother (Gill Snyder) as both were past DC presidents.
After she retired, she moved to Redondo Beach to be close to her daughter and because she loved the ocean. In California she enjoyed volunteering whereever she was needed. Patricia was a member of The Elks Lodge 1378 in Redondo Beach. Patti loved to travel (Italy, Germany, England, Costa Rica and France), meet people (and she liked everyone) and go to the .99 cent store!
She is survived by her daughters Lara Ketterman (David) of Chandler, Ariz.; Dee Dee Ciprari (Joe) of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; and love of her life and partner in crime, Phillip Purpura of Torrance, Calif. She had four grandchildren, Erin (16) and Drew (12) Ketterman, Marie (11) and Molly (8) Ciprari. Sister-in-law Marguerite Snyder resides in Morristown, Ariz. Cousins Glenn and Sandie Gill live in Wickenburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wickenburg residents Daniel and Marie Snyder, and her brother Gill Snyder.
A celebration was held previously in California. If you wish to sign her guest book, or leave a message, please go to www.LAfunerals.com and under “obits” type in her name. Her children would appreciate your stories.
