STAGGS, Samuel Eugene, Sr.

Samuel Eugene Staggs Sr., 58, husband of Christy Graber Staggs, died Thursday, April 17, 2003. 

Born in Norman, Okla., Sam had been a long time Phoenix resident prior to moving to South Carolina and attended high school at Cortez and Phoenix Christian High Schools. He was a son of the Rev. Sam T. and Kathryn Staggs. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Shawn Gaino: sons, Samuel Staggs Jr, David Staggs and Travis Staggs; a sister, Barbara Woods, of Phoenix, AZ.; a brother, David Staggs, of Charlotte, N.C.; and five grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held Monday, April 21st at Freedom Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church Building Fund, 1907 W. Parker Road, Greenville, SC 29617.
