WHEELER, Charles Lewis

Charles Lewis Wheeler, 92, of Mesa, passed away April 29, 2003. 

He was born 11/15/1910 in Paynesville, MO, 1 of 11 children to John W. and Minnie Wheeler. He married Ruth Staley July 18, 1941. He is preceded in death by 4 sisters and 4 brothers. He is survived by his wife Ruth, sisters Sara Wheeler and Margaret Jackson both from Phoenix; 4 nieces and 3 nephews, 5 great nieces, 6 great nephews 23 great great nieces/nephews and 1 great-great-great-niece. 

He served his country in World War Il from 1942-1945 (Army). He retired from U.S. Postal service. Affiliations member of Tanner Chapel AME Church, Men's choir at Tanner AME Church, Male Orpheus choir. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, 5-3-2003, Advantage Colonial Chapel, 4141 N. 19 Avenue. Services will be 10:00 AM, 5-5-2003, Tanner Chapel, AME Church, 20 S. 8th Street.
