GONZALEZ, Agustine Angeles (Angel)

Agustine "Angel' Angeles Gonzalez, 79, of Phoenix, born May 1, 1924, took his journey home on Saturday, June 7, 2003. He was a loving husband, devoted father, loyal friend and great provider. He was liked and respected by his employees and clients. Angel moved to Phoenix from Mexico City, Mexico in 1943. He operated his own landscaping business for 47 years. He played the guitar, sang, and enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family and friends. Survived by his wife Florencia Gonzalez, his stepchildren, Carmen, Silverio, Mario and Jennifer; his children, Susan Thompson, spouse Jeff Taylor, Sandra Walters, spouse Doug Walters, Angelo Gonzalez Jr., Eliza Gonzalez, spouse James Moore, Norma Gonzalez-Kittelson, spouse Joseph Kittelson; former wife, Irene, of 41 years; five sisters and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Wed. June 11, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thurs. June 12, at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix. Interment to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery. Published in The Arizona Republic on 6/10/2003.
