Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, October 9 1942 FUNERAL HELD FOR ARCHIE CAMPBELL Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 7 p.m. by Rev. Ross Cleeland for Archie Campbell, 77, who passed away Sunday at the Wickenburg Hospital. Born in Kansas, Mr Campbell came to Arizona in 1876 and engaged in mining and prospecting here, also around Salome and the Vulture mine for 50 years or more. His father served as Justice of the Peace at Prescott during the early days. He is survived by two daughters residing in distant cities who were unable to attend the funeral due to illness. Cora Aldous of Wickenburg, a distant cousin, made the funeral arrangements. Following a brief graveside service, Mr Campbell was laid to rest in the Wickenburg Cemetery. H. L. Coffinger was in charge.
