Margaret Young Glenn, 11-16-1912 to 4-25-2003. An Arizona Resident all her life, Eva Margaret Young was born at Jerome, Arizona, November 16, 1912, the first of five children born to Lawrence and Maude Young. She and her family lived near Clarkdale until moving to Phoenix in 1920. She attended Creighton School, Phoenix Union High School and Phoenix Junior College. While in college, she ran a milk delivery route for the family dairy. She met Marvin D. Glenn when he attended Lamson Business College in Phoenix and they married on June 21, 1933. Margaret and Marvin lived at J-A Ranch, Hunt Canyon in Chiricahua Mountains their entire married life. Margaret was a founding member of The Cowbelles, and Rucker Canyon Homemakers. After Marvin passed away in 1991, Margaret continued to live at the J-A Ranch until 2001, when she moved into assisted living care for Alzheimer's patients at the Golden Oaks Ranch, at Hereford, Arizona. She is survived by her sisters Meredith (Sam) Hurlburt, Martha (Otis) Lough, Frances (Rob) Painter; her brother, Larry (Elton) Young, all of Phoenix; her children, Janet Varela, Sierra Vista, and Warner (Wendy) Glenn, Douglas; her grandchildren, Mike (Maria Elena) Varela, and Eva Marie (Luis) Ruiz, Cananea, Sonora; Melinda Varela, and Tina (Ron) Olander, Sierra Vista; Kelly (Kerry) Kimbro, Douglas, Cody Glenn, Los Angeles, California; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren and 18 nieces and nephews. A Memorial will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 2:00 PM at 1703 East 9th Street, Douglas, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Golden Oaks Ranch, 8103 Geoffrion Street, Hereford, AZ 85615, or to the charity of your choice.
