Paul H. Lammers, 82, of Sun City, AZ passed away Sunday, April 27th, 2003 at Sun Health Hospice. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 7th at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ. Paul Lammers was born on April 10, 1921, in Miller, SD. During WWII, Mr. Lammers served in the Navy as a pilot from 1942 to 1946, and also during the Korean conflict. He also held a position in the National Reserve Guard for 10 years. After the war, Mr. Lammers was President of Lammers Beverage, in Sioux Falls, SD. He was an active member in the Community. He served as Exalted Ruler and trustee of the Elks Lodge, Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Vice President of Sioux Falls Jr. Chamber of Commerce, for 17 years served as member of the board of the East Branch National Bank of South Dakota, and was President of the South Dakota Beer Wholesalers Association. He and his wife Mildred were married 56 years and retired to Sun City in 1985. They became member of the Sun City Country Club and participated in many activities in the community. He is survived by four daughters, Joan Bourne (Larry) of Marietta, Georgia, Marilyn Zawistowski (Ted) of Houston, Texas, Karen Wise (Roy) of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Pam White (Terry) of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and two sons Kevin Lammers (Vicki) of San Diego, California and Joe Lammers (Bridget) of Renton, WA. His wife Mildred and daughter Kay O'Donnell (Jim) preceded him in death, Included in the survivors are 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Published in the Arizona Republic on 5/4/2003.
