Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, Sept 24, 1948 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD LAST SUNDAY FOR TERRY BABCOCK Many of the old friends of Mr and Mrs Fred Babcock from Phx came to Wickenburg Sunday to attend the funeral services for their three-year-old son Terry, held at the Wickenburg Chapel at 3 p.m. The lad, and only child, passed away at 11 p.m. September 15 at Community Hospital, following a brief illness and an emergency operation. Rev. Charles A. Surber of the First Presbyterian Church conducted the services. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Sept 17, 1948 LAD OF THREE DIES AT LOCAL HOSPITAL The community was shocked Thursday morning upon learning of the death of little 3-year-old Terry Babcock, only son of Mr and Mrs Fred Babcock which occurred at 11 p.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital. The child had been ill for several days and was taken to the hospital at 9 o'clock Wednesday night where an emergency operation was performed. Death came after desperate efforts had been made to save his life. Cause of death was given as "Status Lymphatacis." Terry was born on V-J Day, August 14, 1945, at Sheppard Field, Tex., while his father was in service. The family moved here about a year ago, where Mr Babcock is an associate in the Double B Photo shop. The body was taken to the Wickenburg Mortuary. Funeral services are pending.
