William J.
William J. McGinn joined our heavenly Father on April 30, 2003.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley and his daughters, Patricia, Susan, Catherine, and Margaret; his Sons William Jr. and Daniel. - His daughter Virginia preceded him in death. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grand-children.
William was born in Chicago on July 1, 1922. Bill served four years in the Marine Corps in WWII. He married Shirley in 1947. While in Chicago he served as Aldermen and worked at Standard Oil. In 1956 he relocated to Phoenix to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and warm weather with his wife and 4 children. He retired from Northern Arizona University as a System Analyst in 1984 and spent his remaining years enjoying every moment of life with his wife and family.
He was active in the Catholic Church at parishes across the State of Arizona, including St. Gregory's. St. Helen's and St. Clement of Rome. His faith in God, his service to his community and his dedication as a husband and father is a tribute to God's calling and his legacy and challenge left to all of us who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Monday, May 5, 2003, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Web Blvd, Sun City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, May 6, 2003, St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City.
