Ruth Orth, (86), died of natural causes in Sun City, on May 2, 2003. Ruth Daisy Joy was born April 25, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, the fourth child of Emily (Weaver) and Reuben Avery Joy. She graduated from Lake View High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan University. In August 1936, Ruth married A. Eugene (Gene) Claussen in Chicago; they became the parents of two children, daughter, Joy, and son, Peter. The Claussens lived in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, outside Pittsburgh, until Gene¹s death in 1963. Three years later, Ruth married Roy C. Neuhaus, and moved to Glenview, Illinois where Roy died unexpectedly later that year. In the early seventies, Ruth moved to Houston to be closer to her son, and worked at Neiman Marcus. Twenty-four years ago, she moved to Sun City where her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Bill Dwinell lived, and where she met and married J. Howard Orth, who died seven years ago. Ruth leaves her son, Peter Claussen of Houston, Texas, her daughter Joy, and son-in-law, Anthony Scully, of Los Angeles, sister Helen Dwinell of Sun City, brother Sam Joy of Seattle, Washington, and numerous nieces and nephews.
