The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Wednesday, November 24, 1993 SHORTER, Susie Susie Jane Shorter of Yarnell died Nov. 15, 1993, at Arrowhead Community Hospital, Glendale. She was 65. Mrs. Shorter was born March 18, 1928, in Phoenix and had lived in Arizona all her life. She and her family moved to Aguila when she was 2 and they lived there most of her young life until they moved to Wickenburg in 1954. She moved to Yarnell in 1986, where she was residing at the time of her death. She was an avid collector of antique bottles. Mrs. Shorter is survived by a son, Glenn Alden Shorter of Idaho; daughter, Terry Ireton of Chino Valley; grandchildren, Jeffrey Layne Bostwick of Oregon, Heather Suzanalee Bostwick of Arizona, John Glen Shorter of Indiana and two great-grandchildren in Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen L. Shorter; son, John L. Shorter, and her parents, Jesse and Pansy Lloyd. Services have been held, with internment at the Wickenburg Cemetery. Sam Weinschenk officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements. ~~~~~~~~~~~ A correction in the newspaper on January 26, 1994 Correction: An obituary for Susie Shorter of Yarnell published in the Wickenburg Sun on November 24, 1993, incorrectly listed her son, John L. Shorter as having preceded her in death. John L. Shorter is still alive and living in Michigan.
