Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, July 4, 1952 MRS GAMEWELL'S DAUGHTER KILLED Mrs Merle Bruce, daughter of Mrs Mattie J Gamewell and sister of Mrs Lucille Storns, was killed in an automobile accident in Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon, according to a message received here by her mother. Mrs Bruce had been visiting her sister, Mrs Frances Martin, in Reseda, Calif., and was enroute back to her home in Fallbrook, Calif., when the accident happened. FUNERAL HERE Funeral services will be held here, said Mrs Storns, but the hour and date was not yet decided at the time The SUN went to press. Mrs Bruce lived in Wickenburg many years ago. Surviving, in addition to the mother and sister here, and the sister in Reseda, are a son, Charles Woodmansee of Eureka, Calif.; and two brothers, Grady Howell of Phoenix, and Leslie Howell of Sunland, Calif. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona July 18, 1952 Funeral Was Saturday for Mrs. Merle Bruce Dr. Charles S. Poling was in charge of funeral services for Mrs. Merie Bruce at the Wickenburg Chapel the afternoon of July 5. Burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery. Mrs. Bruce, daughter of Mrs. Mattie Gamewell and sister of Mrs. Lucille Sterns, was killed in an automobile accident in Los Angeles July 1. Her home was in Reseda, Calif.
