SANCHEZ, Alicia D.

Alicia D. Sanchez, 71, died June 10, 2003. She was born on July 23, 1931 in Nogales Sonora, Mexico and came to Phoenix when she was 17.

She eventually became a U.S. citizen. Alicia worked at the Phoenix Gazette for a couple of years. She met her husband Tony after he served in the Korean War and they were married June 20, 1954.

Alicia is survived by her husband Tony, her 6 children Tony Jr., Rebecca, Yolanda, Lydia, Arthur, and Andrea; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.

Visitation will be Thurs 6-12-03, 6:00 to 8:00pm with rosary at 7:00pm at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ. Funeral Mass will be 9:00am on Friday, 6-13-03 at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 909 E. Washington, Phoenix, AZ.
