Miss Gwendlyn M. Ballard, 29, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, committed suicide Sept 6 by jumping from a window on the ninth floor of the Hotel Knickerbocker in New York City.

According to notes found in the hotel room, despondency seems to have been the cause of her act.

Miss Ballard will be remembered here, having been a guest at the Remuda ranch the past two seasons.
