While wading in the Hassayampa river south of here last Sunday, Mrs Rachael Fryman, 30, of Wittmann, stepped into a deep hole and was drowned. 

A pulmoter was rushed to the scene from Phoenix but they were unable to revive her. Mrs Fryman with her son, Richard, 7, and a party of friends were picnicking at the river.
