He was born November 7, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Mary Connelly Luby. He worked as a machinist and model-maker. Beloved father of Barbara Spacone (Alan) (aka Bonnie Browne) and Loree Bubert. Loving grampa of Erin Staeck (Scott) and Mary Evans (Aaron). Cherished great-grampa of Heather and Brittany Staeck and Mallory, Katie, Jen and Jessica Evans. Inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery , Chicago , at a later date.
