Robert Marvin James, D.O., born April 25, 1932 in French Camp (Stockton), California and a resident of Phoenix, Arizona since 1962 joined our Lord in Heaven on Thursday, May 29, 2003, at home following several years of deteriorating health and the death of his eldest son, Stephen, on May 5, 2003, which hit him very hard.
Dr. James is survived by Deena (Dee), his loving wife of 35 years; daughter, Sabrina of Bakersfield, California; son, Bradley (Kay) of Sugar Land, Texas; six granddaughters, Ursula, Molly, Meranda, Alyssa, Andrea and Suleyma (Suli); one grandson, Rafael.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict in a M.A.S.H. Unit as an X-Ray Technician. He went to medical school in Kansas City, Missouri; interned at Phoenix General Hospital in Phoenix and fell in love with the Arizona desert. He was a family physician in Phoenix for 40 years.
He was the most loving, gentlest, kindest, most understanding husband and friend possible. He had a very sweet, quiet personality, contagious smile and a droll sense of humor. He was dearly loved and is sorely missed by all who knew him. Though my heart is heavy and I miss you terribly I know you are better off now - at peace and no more pain. I love you dearly my sweetheart, my darling.
