Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona - 31 October 1947 BUD CHAMBERS DIES FOLLOWING ACCIDENT Internal injuries received in an accident near Salome early last Friday morning resulted in the death at Community Hospital here Sunday of Bud Chambers, age 42, a truck driver for the SED Construction Company. He had been residing in Salome recently in connection with the bridling of natural gas pipe line through that territory. Chambers was brought to the local hospital early Friday morning by two companions who told hospital attendants that the man was injured when his car struck a bridge near Salome, turned over and was wrecked. Early Sunday morning his condition became grave and an emergency operation was performed at 3 a.m. He seemed to rally after the operation but passed away a few minutes before 9 o’clock. The body was taken in the Wickenburg chapel and was sent by train that evening to Skiatook, Okla., where his wife resides.
