Wickenburg (AZ) Graphic Thursday, April 30, 1931, p 5 c 3 Five Killed in Auto Accident Five persons plunged thirty feet to a watery death at Jacks Canyon, five miles southeast of Winslow when a small truck went through a highway bridge leading to Clear Creek. In the machine were Ramon Molina, 40 year old Santa Fe employee of Winslow, his wife, Eusemia, and three children, all less than 12 years old. Several truckman hauling sand in the vicinity saw the car go over the bridge and fall into the water which was 15 to 20 feet deep at this point. Steep walls prevented the men from reaching the machine which quickly submerged. From the brink of the boxlike canyon they could see three hats and a water jug floating on the surface below. Bob Evans, one of the truckmen said he counted five persons in the car, including the three children. Officials were notified at Winslow and left for the scene immediately. Evans said the Molina machine approached the bridge around a curve in the road. He and the children waved at each other and he was attracted a moment later by the automobile crashing through the bridge and heard its heavy splash as it hit the water.
