The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, April 13, 2003 Betty J. Austin, 75, Glendale, Arizona, passed away April 10, 2003. She was born July 20, 1927 in Altoona, PA. She was a homemaker. An active member of Hannah Circle of United Methodist Women. In the 1960s, Betty was active in the Madrid PTA as President for one year. Survivors include her husband Fred, sons Rick & Bill, daughter-in-law Betsy, grandchildren Jennifer, Debra, Melissa, Alexis and Matthew Austin and Angela McDowell, brothers Clyde & Don, sisters Catherine & Dorothy, nieces Sharon, Nancy & Deborah. Services: Monday, April 14, 2003, 2 p.m. at Epworth Methodist Church, 4802 N. 59th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85033. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Epworth United Methodist Church.
