Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Gila Bend by the Rev. Emanuel Udechkwu. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery there. Ms. Castillo was born Aug. 19, 1938 in Phoenix to Juan and Andrea Cortez. She graduated from Gila Bend High School in 1957. She was a homemaker. She moved to Ajo, where she was active in the church and in a non-denominational prayer group. She also was active in Lions. She was a member of the Throttle Twisters motorcycle club, which toured on Harley-Davidsons. She had a generous heart, enjoyed visiting the elderly and was devoted to her faith. She enjoyed scripture reading. Survivors include four daughters, Debbie Bertoldo of Tucson, Yolanda Leon, Glenda Joyce Pierpont and Carrie Strickland, all of Casa Grande; four sisters, Amelia Esquivel of Gila Bend, Fernanda Gonzalez of Reno, Nev., Margarita Madrid of Yuma and Guadalupe Sparks of Nevada; two brothers, Alfredo "Tito" Cortez and Juan Cortez of Georgia; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
