DARNAUER, Stephen Mark

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, April 13, 2003 Stephen Mark Darnauer, 52, passed away on April 9, 2003. He was born October 28, 1950 in Dubuque, Iowa but grew up in India where his father was a missionary. Stephen returned to the United States in 1968 to attend the University of Minnesota, but interrupted his education to join the Army and serve in the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. He returned to complete his education and in doing so met his wife, Susan with whom he raised three daughters and started a high tech computer company in Minnesota. Stephen transferred his family to Arizona in 1992 for a change of scenery. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Susan; daughters Nicole (Joe), Brianne (Spencer) and Allison; and two wonderful grandsons, Connor and Alexander. Services Tuesday, April 15 at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa, AZ at 6:30 PM. Graveside service 11:00 AM, Wednesday at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ. Courtesy of Pat Wilson.
