Louis Joseph Paszli, 80, passed away on April 10, 2003 at his residence in Phoenix.
Louis was born in Flint, MI on June 3, 1922. He grew up in South Bend, Indiana. Graduate of Tri State University, Angola, Indiana. He joined Bendix Corporation as an Engineer after graduation. In 1968 he moved to Arizona and joined Garrett Corporation.
He retired from Allied Signal in 1990 and moved to Prescott. Louis was very active in the Catholic Church and Bible Studies in Prescott and Phoenix. His passion was flying. Acquired his private pilot's license in Indiana. After moving to AZ he continued flying private airplanes and received his license to fly gliders at Estrella Mountain. In the 80's he restored a J3 Cub. In the 90's he continued his passion for flying, building and flying model airplanes. He served with the 342nd Ftr. Sqds in the Asiatic Pacific Theater in WWII.
Louis is survived by his sons David Paszli, Casa Grande, Mark Paszli, Tempe, daughter and two grandsons, Evelyn Paszli Knudson, James & Matthew Knudson, Gilbert. Sisters Katherine Kenna, South Bend, Indiana, Mary VanDusen, Litchfield Park. Extended family wife Phyllis M. Paszli, step-daughter and two grandchildren, Dr. Roberta Kreb, Allison & Stephanie Kreb, Maple Grove, Minnesota, stepson and two grandchildren, J.R. Revling, Geoffrey P. Revling, Tempe, Nicole Revling, Chandler.
Memorial mass to be held on April 16, 2003, 10 AM at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 3424 N. 18th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85015.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
