HARTMAN,
Geary Alan
The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona
January 29, 2010
Geary Alan Hartman was born June 21, 1958, in Phoenix where he attended school at Paradise Valley High School.
After high school, he worked in the construction industry, which he did throughout his life. When he was 21, he married Roxanne and they raised their two boys, Mathew and Brandon. Geary divorced and moved to Eagar in 1989 where he continued working in the construction industry.
He loved the outdoors and found great joy in fishing, hunting, camping or just sitting outside talking and taking in the sounds and aromas. He was great with his hands in carving walking sticks and building structures out of popsicle sticks and other wood. He was very artistic as well in the drawings he did.
He never met a stranger; he would talk to anyone, making them feel right at home. He was the first to volunteer for anything and to help in any way. He made people feel comfortable with his joking ways and big smile, laughing all the while was his style.
Geary is survived by his mother Wynonah Isaacs; sons Brandon A. Hartman and Mathew Hartman; brothers Edward W. Blankenship, Wylie J. Blankenship, Curtis D. Hartman, Kenneth D. Hartman and Chris C. Isaacs; sisters Cheryl J. Corceran and Carolyn McCormick.
He was preceded in death by his father John C. Hartman, stepfather Chris C. Isaacs, brother Jack E. Hartman and sister Ruth G. Kidwell. Geary will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. "He will be forever in our hearts."
A memorial service will be held in honor of Geary at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the VFW Building in Eagar.
