Larry Clifford Stradling, 80, died at his residence in St. Johns Jan. 17, 2010. He was born Aug. 29, 1929, in St. Johns to Clifford and Virgie Stradling.
Larry spent his life working the ranch, farm and building everything. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served others all his life. He touched many people's lives through his example, his humble, quiet service and thoughtfulness. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Larry is survived by his wife Laura; son Larry Von (Rhonda) Stradling; daughters Virginia Butler (Butch) Ramey and Tanya (John) Clines, all of St. Johns; stepson Steven Griffin and stepdaughter Diana Goshy, both of Tucson; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Peggy Stradling and daughter Nanette Whiting.
A visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at Burnham Mortuary in St. Johns. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Center in St. Johns. Interment will follow at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
