Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Thursday, February 4, 2010 Dolores J. Lawrence, 87, of Winslow, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010. Mrs. Lawrence was born July 28, 1922, in Detroit, to Otto and Hattie Neuman. She grew up in Michigan and married Robert G. Lawrence on Aug. 14, 1940. This 58-year union was blessed with three children -- Patricia Kitching, Robert Lawrence Jr. (Tina) and Darleen Evans, four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She moved to Winslow in 1998 after her husband's death to be closer to her daughter, Darleen, and family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed painting, crochet and shopping. She was known for her love of animals and always shared their companionship. Mrs. Lawrence is survived by daughter Pat of Lake Orion, Mich.; son Robert of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Lawrence Sr.; daughter Darleen Evans; and two great-grandsons. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 1505 W. Third St., in Winslow.
