West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona February 5, 2010 Pat Kaye, 81, of Goodyear died Feb. 1, 2010. Mrs. Kaye was born Jan. 10, 1929, in Cambridge, Mass. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bob; two sons, Kevin and Chris; one daughter, Debbie McDonald; one brother, Tom Donahue of Tucson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She served in the Marine Corps as executive officer of the Women's Marine Detachment at the El Toro Marine Base in Santa Ana, Calif. She founded the PebbleCreek Ladies Social Club and co-founded the Good Time Gals. She also re-started the PebbleCreek Home Tours, the proceeds of which go to needy children, and another program to collect winter jackets and blankets for needy people. Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 539 E. La Pasada Blvd. in Goodyear. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. She is survived by her loving husband Bob and sons Kevin, Chris, and daughter Debbie McDonald, and their respective spouses Dana, Laura Jean, and Tom. Pat is survived by her brother Tom Donahue of Tucson, AZ, and by seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Pat and Bob were married 57 years. Pat served in the U.S. Marine Corps as Executive Officer of the Women’s Marine Detachment at the El Toro Marine Base in Santa Ana, CA. She was an avid reader of books, loved doing crafts, and was an accomplished artist. Pat loved getting people together to socialize which led her to found the Pebble Creek Ladies Social Club. She grew the membership to well over 350 members. After a short “retirement” Pat co-founded the Good Time Gals, another social group. She was also instrumental in starting a Bunco group and re-starting the Pebble Creek Home Tours, the proceeds of which go to needy children and an additional program collecting winter jackets and blankets for needy people. Pat will be sorely missed by all those she touched. A visitation will be held Sunday February 7, 2010 12:00-3:00p.m. at Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel 926 S. Litchfield Road Goodyear, AZ.
