WYGANT, Wilford Carl

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona February 5, 2010 Wilford Carl Wygant, 77, of Tonopah died Jan. 30, 2010, at his home. Mr. Wygant was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Sturgis, Mich. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sara, in 2001. He is survived by his companion, Jacquelynn Barger of Tonopah; one sister, Jane Frick of Shipshewana, Ind.; four daughters, Pamela Secord of Jackson, Mich., Deana Perez of Tempe, Carla Clayborn, of Tonopah and Michelle David, of Tonopah; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a decorated veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Jackson Drop Forge in 1974 for medical reasons, and moved to Arizona in 1979. He retired from the Arizona Department of Corrections in 1996. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Light and Life Church, 304 E. Roosevelt Ave. in Buckeye.
