Richard A. Gullett, 81, of Mesa, AZ, passed away Friday, June 13, 2003 in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Gullett, a Tooling Engineer for Air Research / Garrett for 28 years, retiring in 1982; was born July 9, 1921 in Union City, Indiana.
He moved to Arizona in 1949 from Troy, Ohio. He was also a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and a barber. He was baptized at the Oakland Church of the Brethren and attended A.S.U.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy of Mesa. Daughters, Alana Ulrich of Scottsdale and Nancy (and her husband, Joe) Walsh of Scottsdale; son, Greg (and his wife, Betty) of Mesa; sisters, Mary Lou Jones of Phoenix; Jeannie (and her husband, Glenn) Starkey of Tolleson; brother, John (and his wife, Joan) Gullett of Phoenix, Arizona and three grandchildren, Lance and Joyce Gullett and Ali Urich, also survive him. He was preceded in death by his children, Freddie and Jackie.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, June 16, 2003 at Resthaven Park Mortuary, 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Grace Community Church, 1200 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Phoenix.
