Susan Finley Campbell, born May 24, 1946 in Phoenix, AZ, passed away April 13, 2003 at her home.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Francis Campbell, Jr. and sons, Christopher, Scott and Kevin. Christopher is married to Megan, who presented Susan with her first grandchild, Garrett, in May 2002. Scott recently married Christy. Kevin, single, attends the University of Arizona. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Finley.
Susan was a fourth generation Arizonian, the daughter of Thomas J. Finley, deceased, and Virginia Yost Finley. She was a high school English teacher, librarian, Phoenix Art Museum docent and homemaker. She graduated from the Bishops High School in La Jolla, CA, attended three years at the University of Arizona, where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1968. Beautiful, intelligent, interesting and interested are words that best describe Susan.
Memorial service, 11:30 A.M., Thursday, April 17th, 2003, All Saints' Episcopal Church, 6300 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.
