WILLIAMS, Ethel Ann


The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, April 15, 2003 Ethel Ann Williams, 80, of Chandler, Az, died Friday, April 11, 2003. Born in St. Louis, Missouri July 31, 1922. She married Louis Lester DuVall in Aug, 1940 in St. Louis, Mo. They began farming in St. Louis County, then started a larger dairy farm in central Missouri where she raised all five of her sons. Ethel was active in the Catholic Church, 4-H club and the local farming community. She had a life long love of dancing and playing pinochle with her friends. Ethel lived for several years in Strawberry and Scottsdale prior to moving to her son's home in Chandler. She is survived by: Sister Helen Watkins, of Plymoth, CA, her brother William Birkenmeier (wife Betty)of Pacific, Mo, her brother Robert Birkenmeier of Lauderdale By The Sea, FL., her five son's: Gerald J. DuVall (wife Leigh), of Show Low, Az, Thomas A. DuVall (wife Olivia) of Phoenix, Az, Alan R. Duvall and Stephen R. DuVall (wife Carol) and Daniel L. DuVall (wife Sharell) of Chandler, Az. and twelve grandchildren, six and 1/2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel was a loving mother and good friend to many. She will be missed by her many friends and family. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 W. Ray Road, Chandler, AZ 85226 At 11:00am.
