LUKENS, Myrlee Irene

Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Myrlee Irene Lukens, 91, of Williams, died Feb. 4, 2010, in Flagstaff. She was born April 23, 1918, in Pilot Grove, Iowa. She grew up on a farm in Iowa. She enjoyed her church and her friends there. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. In 1935, she was married to Claude McFarland and they had four children. Mrs. Lukens is survived by her children, Jack McFarland (Juanita) of Williams, Dorothy Cox (Glenn) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Janis Alexander of Pleasant Hope, Mo.; daughter-in-law Wanda McFarland of Waterford, Calif.; brother Lloyd Penry of Red Oak, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; son James McFarland; one brother; and two sisters. A visitation will take place today from 3 to 5 p.m. at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66. There will be a graveside service Monday at 10 a.m. at the Williams Cemetery, Williams. Condolences may be left for the family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com.
