Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Thursday, February 4, 2010 Richard Gilbert "Rick" Borunda, 55, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at his home in Phoenix. Mr. Borunda was born Feb. 2, 1954, in Winslow. He attended Winslow High School and worked for the railroad. His favorite pastimes were boating, camping, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Mr. Borunda is survived by his wife, Christine; son Richard Daniel of Phoenix; mother Lily Martinez of Winslow; brothers Raymond (Diana) of Phoenix and Michael of Winslow; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; stepfather Raul Martinez; and father Gilbert Borunda. Holy Rosary will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Madre De Dios Catholic Church with Celebrant Father Frank Chacon. Interment to follow at Desert View Cemetery.
