George "Wally" Wallen, left to return home to the Lord on June 12, 2003. A wake will be held at Mary Ann Lavender-Cantu's residence in McNary, Arizona on Friday, June 20, 2003, starting at 10:00 AM. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the McNary Elementary School Gymnasium and burial at the Ponderosa Pine Cemetery in McNary, Arizona. Fletchers Mortuary of Show Low, Arizona is in charge of funeral arrangements. "Wally" Wallen died June 12, 2003 at the Phoenix Hospice Family Home Care. He was born in Whiteriver, attended school in Phoenix, but graduated at Alchesay High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam war from 1969-70, then in Germany. He returned to attend Arizona State University. He was blessed with numerous job trades. He was a beloved father, brother and uncle. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Jackie Lavender, Mary Ann Lavender, Cant'u Albert, Henrey Lavender and Daniel Lavender, Jr., Adrienne Lavender, and Loualla Karen Wallen Laub; children, Kyles Wallen, Che's Wallen, Brandon G. Wallen, Kerri Begay, and numerous nieces and nephews. A wake will be held at Mary Ann Lavender Cantu's residence in McNary Friday, June 20 at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 21 starting at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the McNary Cemetery.
